My friend Oshin is a super adventurous girl.

Her mother is an astronaut, and her father is a scientist.
    Both work for NASA.

Oshin has a younger brother named Eiichi.

Her mother used to tell her thrilling stories about space tours and real adventures.

Very soon, the Sun, Moon, stars, galaxies, and constellations became her dream friends.

Her little mind was fascinated and filled with excitement.

She started dreaming of going on a space tour.

Her mother was scheduled for a Mars Mission on 31st August.

Oshin wanted to go along with her.

    But her mother said,

“You are too little to go to space. When you become an adult, only then you can go.”

    Oshin protested,

“I am fed up with this lockdown! I don’t want to stay at home! Earth is overpacked with the coronavirus, and there’s no virus on Mars. Please take me to space! I will play with stars and float around. I won’t disturb you! Please take me along!”

    Her mother smiled,

"Okay, baby, next time. Otherwise, Eiichi will miss you."

    Oshin sighed,

"Okay, Mom… but next time, you HAVE to take me!"

On the day of departure, Oshin and Eiichi went to the base station to see their mother off.

Her mother was hesitant to leave her children behind in the pandemic situation.

What no one knew was that she had already applied to withdraw from the mission…

    And her request was approved.

She returned home, but Oshin was not there.

Her parents assumed she had gone to a friend’s house, but when they checked… she was nowhere to be found.

Meanwhile, the spaceship had already launched into space.

To everyone’s shock… Oshin was inside!

She had hidden herself in the spaceship.

Oshin was confused when she didn’t find her mother there.

Soon, one astronaut noticed the little 7-year-old stowaway.

They asked her name and where she came from.

    She explained everything.

    NASA Headquarters was immediately informed.

She was given a spacesuit and an oxygen cylinder.

    Oshin, however, was thrilled!

She started enjoying the spectacular view of the universe.

Back on Earth, her mother, father, and brother were terrified.

The whole base station was in panic mode.

    Then suddenly—an emergency!

The pilot informed everyone about a fuel pipe leakage.

Due to the danger, all astronauts had to jump and return to Earth.

    But they worried about Oshin.

    Oshin, however, remained fearless.

    She said,

“I’m not afraid at all! Just tell me what to do. I think this is exciting!”

The little astronaut was given a parachute and helmet.

A camera was attached to her helmet so that the base station could monitor her.

    She was instructed,

“Do NOT remove your helmet and spacesuit. Wait for the right moment to open your parachute.”

    Her parents lost all hope…

    But communication with Oshin continued.

    Oshin jumped off the spaceship.

As she descended, she saw countless stars and meteors around her.

    She excitedly said,

“Mom, keep talking to me! Otherwise, I’ll fall asleep and miss all the stars and wonders of the universe!”

As she neared Earth, she saw the planet rotating below her.

She was gazing at the stars when her mother shouted in panic—

    “Oshin! Open the parachute!!”

    Oshin, now shivering, said,

“Mom… I feel so cold now.”

    Her mother replied,

“That’s because you’re at high altitude. Hang on, dear.”

Within a few minutes, she landed safely on Earth.

    Her mother thanked God.

The entire spaceship crew applauded the bravery of the little astronaut.
