Long time ago, there were four friends living in a town. Their names were John, Ron, Steve, and Mike.
One day, they were playing football in the playground. Their ball went into a house which had been closed for the past 20 years.
They all went into the house to retrieve the ball. The other people in town warned them, saying,
“That’s the haunted house!”
As they stepped inside, suddenly, the door shut itself.
They tried to open it, but the door wouldn’t budge. They all were frightened now.
Then, as they moved forward, they heard a sound behind them.
When they turned back, they saw a shadow passing by in one of the rooms.
Mike said,
“Let me see what’s there.”
He stepped into the room, and the door slammed shut behind him.
Now, Mike was locked inside.
The room was huge and eerie. His friends desperately tried to open the door but failed.
Mike, trying to calm them down, said,
“Don’t worry, I’ll find a way out.”
As he moved forward, he saw many strange things he had never seen before.
On a nearby table, an unusual clock stood. It had four needles instead of two.
“This isn’t a clock… It’s something else.”
Then he saw a rocking chair in the middle of the room, moving on its own.
Curious, he sat on it and started swinging.
Suddenly, he heard the same mysterious sound again.
When he looked back, the shadow figure passed by once more.
Mike quickly stood up and walked towards the shadow.
And then… the shadow disappeared.
When he turned back, a ghost was sitting on the same rocking chair.
The ghost’s red, sparkling eyes glowed in the dark.
Mike stared in shock. The ghost dashed toward him—
BOOM!
Mike’s eyes snapped open.
It was all a dream!
Relieved, he stepped out of his room, but then…
For a second, he saw the same red sparkling eyes near the flower pot.
Now, Mike will never know… was it really a dream? Or… was it real?
